The Wool Den is a independent yarn and craft shop founded by myself with the help and support of my amazing husband Dave, my son Evan and of course my dog Wilson.

We opened our doors in December 2021 and in January 2024 moved into a larger unit, I needed more space for all the yarn, as my first hobby is yarn hoarding!

I would say my second passion is crochet and although my finished products are not ‘perfect’ I truly believe working, with lovely products on a project for yourself or a loved one, is good for your health and general well being and allows you chance to just stop for a little while.  

I also really enjoy seeing the pride people have when they have made something themselves (whether it wonky or not).

Ultimately, I really, really, really love yarn.  I love animals with fleecy coats, I love to buy it, I love to squish it and I love to see what can be created using it.
