Jawoll is Lang's stunning sock yarn made in Italy and has been tried and tested a million times and for many years a sock wool classic.  These 50g ball also include a reinforcement yarn for heels and toes to extend the life of your socks.

We have gorgeous range of 86 shade available here at the Wool Den.

The wool content is Corriedale sheep and for the Jawoll range Lang use only the finest sourced from Chilean Patagonia.  During shearing, the best parts of the fleece are selected and sorted out. The average thickness, the diameter of the fibre, is just 25 microns (1 micron = 1/1000 mm) so the wool feels very soft and is very comfortable to wear.

The Corriedale sheep live all year round in the natural wilds of Patagonia. because of this their fleece remains white and grows to an average staple length of 10cm.  This makes it perfect for dying, the colours are vibrant and the finish is highly resistant to pilling.

Uses

This wool is soft, versatile, lightweight, comfortable to wear and highly resistant to pilling
It's primarily intended for socks, but due to its durability, it is also particularly good for baby and children's clothing, hats, gloves and scarves.

Whilst we would always recommend handwashing to extend the life of your garments, Jarwoll is super washed and can be machine washed at 40 degrees.
